Halloween Gift Baskets
Halloween Gift Baskets Are Great For Halloween Treats
October will be here almost before you know it. And when its October you know that means only one thing – Halloween is coming up really, really fast. Every year it seems like Halloween is becoming a bigger and more exciting event, with days of parties and week long parade and festival events. Kind of like Mardi Gras, but in October in the autumn.
And one of the big ideas this year is giving Halloween gift baskets.
There are some people who think that Halloween has become a dangerous holiday and they don’t allow their kids to go out trick or treating. And it is always important to keep your kids safe. But, you still want to have fun and get goodies for Halloween, and that makes the Halloween baskets a perfect idea.
Or maybe you know someone who lives far away from, but you would still like to liven up their spooky holiday with some Halloween gift basket ideas. In that case, the internet is your best friend.
A Halloween gift basket is an easy thing to make or to order if that is your preference.
All you really need is a basket (sounds silly, but its pretty important) and some goodies to put in the basket. Wicker is always a good choice for any kind of gift basket, but for Halloween it is even more appropriate, kind of scarecrow-like. But you could also use a little witches’ cauldron, a skull or even a cardboard box painted to look like a coffin for you to put your Halloween goodies in.
And you need some treats to fill your Halloween basket with. These are easy to find online which is a real time saver.
Gummi rats are always a big hit and of course, their original cousins the gummi worms. Funny how a simple candy can sound so gross in a Halloween way when you think about it. You could also add some Halloween cookies in the shapes of pumpkins, witches, ghosts, or even black cats. These you can make yourself, but you can also order pre-decorated varieties online.
You can also add in cds of spooky music or even dvd or blue ray versions of some of the cult horror classics like the Halloween series or if you are really brave maybe some of the direct to dvd gore movies like The Other Side, Slaughter Night or Blood Car. Pretty gross and pretty cheap when you shop online.
Once you’ve got your Halloween treat for the basket all picked out and made or purchased, you can assemble your gift. Because the gifts you have purchased might be in different shapes and sizes, you will need to experiment a bit with their placement in your basket for maximum effect.
And when you are done, just add a finishing touch of a handful of rubber spiders, some spray on cobwebs and an orange and black Halloween bow tied on in the shape of a hangman’s noose.
With just a bit of care and some well researched online purchases, the recipient of one of your Halloween gift baskets will be sure to have one of the most enjoyable Halloween holidays ever.
